Good progress was made at yesterday's public meeting to review the results of the village questionnaire, but more ideas and suggested solutions are required. If you have comments on the Theale environment, suggestions for changes/improvements, or can identify areas of Theale that could be improved and better used as a public green space or used as a community garden then send an email to: environment@thealevillage.com with the details.
Not sure if this comes under the heading of Environment, but I get a bit fed up with the flooding of the some of the smaller roads like North Lane and Deadmans's Lane. Not much fun when you go out for a run or a walk and are up to your ankles in muddy water. Seems to happen with every prolonged spell of rain.

As for spaces being better used, I don't know if people are aware but the main path through the Englefield estate, from the A340 to the church / garden centre is a public right of way, and is a very nice place for a stroll. I never see anyone else using it.
Therecent rains have flooded many areas around Theale and we still have the winter to come. Can we log the areas of Theale flooded so we can pass on this info to the Theale's Future team to cross reference to the Village Questionnaire answers/feedback re flooding issues.
I am attending the West Berks funding event at Newbury Racecourse on Wednesday where sources of funding for local projects will be promoted and information on how to apply will be available, if there is a specific project you would like to see completed in the village please post it up here and I will investigate while I'm there. I will be investigating funding for environmental projects.
